- Kurzbeschreibung: Sandrone Aleste Barolo DOCG 2013 Italien Piemont Rotwein
- Artikel-Nr.: 3509130
Sandrone Aleste Barolo DOCG 2013 Italien Piemont Rotwein.
Formerly known as Barolo Cannubi Boschis (the last vintage by that name was 2012), the 2013 Barolo Aleste has been renamed to honor the youngest generation of the Sandrone family, Alessia and Stefano. The wine name Aleste takes the first three letters from each grandchild's name. The move represents the culmination of more than 50 harvests completed by this legendary winemaker and his desire to pass on the torch. His grandchildren are at different points in their respective viticulture and enology university studies. Now under a different name, the wine obviously shows the same delicate floral nuances that you get with this wine (fruit from Cannubi is always harvested first). This is a complete and exciting wine with delicate notes of wild berry and smoke backed by licorice and blue flower.
Heart and continuity. ALESTE is the natural continuity of Luciano's first wine, the Barolo Cannubi Boschis. Giving all the experience, knowledge, patience and passion of his many harvests, Luciano pays tribute, with boldness and sensibility, to the next family generation: "ALESTE" is in fact the combination of the names of his grandchildren ALEssia and STEfano.
An iconic wine. From the very first bottling in 1985, Luciano always believed in the unique and distinctive potential of the Cannubi hill, and that he wanted to express this potential by way of a separate vinification. This bottling pays homage to the richness and elegance of the favored Cannubi site in the heart of the Barolo. The optimal soil and climate conditions, harvest after harvest, have brought forth a wine that has drawn international attention since its first release.
Barolo DOCG, 100 % Nebbiolo, Spontaneous fermentation from indigenous yeasts, Maceration and alcoholic fermentation in open steel tanks, Malolactic fermentation and ageing in French oak barrels of 500 liters, Bottle aged for 18 months before release, From the first vintage of 1985 Cannubi Boschis from 2013 and beyond ALESTE, Vineyard in the village of Barolo: Cannubi Boschis, Alcohol: 14,5 %, Recommended drinking time: 2028 – 2048
Parker: 98/100 - Past vintages of this wine report the name of the MGA (Cannubi Boschi), but from this point on, the wine is called Aleste. This is a late-release project with bottles that are held back in a brick-lined room for an additional 10 years of bottle age. The Luciano Sandrone 2013 Barolo Aleste Sibi et Paucis is a true classic. The wine still shows hints of its primary fruit, but it has otherwise moved into an exciting phase of its evolution. There is dried spice, campfire ash, licorice and truffle essence. The flavors trigger your mouth to salivate, and the tannins feel like silk.
